The Maker Space
There are a lot of games and tools in the Maker Space. You can prepare for your lesson by using all the materials in this room. Those games in the Maker Space can help improve students' cognitive development and give them a hands-on experience.
This time, I made a video about the Maker Space, and a game that I found in the Maker Space, which is called the Kingka.
The following is the video: The Catalyst - Maker Space (Kingka)

How Did I Make It?
The main tools that I used for this video are: iMovie and YouTube Capture. I am going to introduce them one on one for you.
iMovie
iMovie is a video editing software application sold by Apple Inc. for the Mac and iOS (iPhone,
iPad, iPad Mini and iPod Touch). It was originally released in 1999.
iMovie for iOS and iMovie for macOS are designed to work together. You can start a project on your iPhone and continue on your iPad. Then take advantage of additional features on your Mac to add finishing touches like color correction, green-screen effects, and animated maps. When you’re done, your movies and trailers appear in iMovie Theater — on all your devices.

YouTube capture
YouTube Capture is an app that lets you record, edit, upload, and share videos on iOS devices with iOS versions 6+ to YouTube very efficiently. WIth YouTube Capture, you can also create beautiful movies on the go. Start recording in a snap, then edit and share videos of any length right from your phone.
My making process & challenges
The very first thing to do when I was trying to make this video is to plan out the structure of the video. I wrote down on my notebook about what I want to show to audience, and what I should include in the video. My idea was to have a general introduction of the Catalyst, and then move on the the Maker Space to introduce one of the games that I found in the Maker Space. For introducing how to play the Kingka game, I read through the instruction of the game and figured out that there will be three different levels that I want to demonstrate in the video. And I also thought about how to demonstrate it so that I could make it clear enough for the audience to understand. Therefore, if you want to make a video like this, it is very important to plan out before hand firstly, so then you will have a much more smoother experience when you are actually going to do it.
After planning out my ideas about the video, it is time to film it and collect materials for the final edition. I went to the Catalyst and filmed all the scenes that I needed. Because I had a plan, so everything went very smoothly. I filmed all the things that I have planned out beforehand, and got all my materials that I need.
Then, I started editing the video by using the app iMovie. I edited my video in the Catalyst, so whenever I found myself need something more to add on, I can film it and make it up right on the spot. I found myself needed two more scenes to demonstrate the game, and I did it right there while editing. It can be apply to this kind of video which you don't really need to move around to places.
In iMovie, you can add your videos easily. Also, you can cut your video simply using the app. But I also cut my video by using the cutting function on my iPhone. I filmed it with my iPhone, because it is smaller so it is more convenient than using a big iPad. If you have a shaky hand, using the iPhone can in some degree prevent the instability. Also, you can add different theme music for your video, I chose the one that is provided by the iMovie, which sounds very joyful. However, you can also use your own songs that you download in your phone or iPad. The iMovie will automatically prolongs the song until your video ends.
After editing the video, I uploaded it to YouTube using the YouTube Capture app. Generally, this app can make your upload faster. It is very easy to follow and operate too.
Through my experience of making this video, I learned that it is very important to have clarity for making a tutorial. You need to stand of the perspective of the audience and think about if they can understand what is going on. Because you are the one who is in the scene and you can see it all, but the vision of the audience is only limited to what you have captured. Therefore, thinking about how the audiences' brains work and how it would be logical is very important.
My challenges of making this video are: firstly, how to demonstrate the game is very difficult. Because it is hard to be clear when there is so much stuff need to be introduced. Therefore, it took me a long time to think about how to demonstrate this game appropriately to the audience so they don't feel confused; secondly, when uploading the video, it actually showed "error has occurred" and I had to go back and changed the video into a less HP. I didn't know what was going on, but figure that it might because my file was too large. Therefore, just keep trying and fixing when you encounter difficulties. Also, remember that you can always ask others for help!
